ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
Established under the ICFAI University Act, 2003, the ICFAI University, Dehradun has emerged as a leading institution of higher education in Uttarakhand. ABOUT THE ICFAI LAW SCHOOL
ICFAI Law School, a constituent of The ICFAI University, Dehradun, prepares modern legal professionals through programs approved by the Bar Council of India. It offers BBA-LL.B (Hons.), BA-LL.B (Hons.), LL.M, and Ph.D. programs.
The Law School has consistently ranked among the top institutions in India. In 2025, it was placed 12th in India and 1st in Uttarakhand (Outlook-ICARE), 17th nationally (The Week), 33rd in India (India Today), and achieved AAA+ with a national rank of 58 (Careers360). It also secured top positions in the North Region and Uttarakhand across multiple surveys (GHRDC, IIRF). These rankings highlight its strong academic standards and excellence in legal education.
ELIGIBILITY
- Students enrolled in a recognized Integrated 5-year LL.B. or 3-year LL.B. program at any Law School, University, or Institution in India, as well as law students from institutions outside India, are eligible to participate.
- Each institution may field a maximum of three teams.
TEAM COMPOSITION
- Each participating team may comprise two (2) or three (3) members. A two-member team shall have two speakers, with one speaker also serving as the researcher.
- A three-member team shall consist of two speakers and one researcher.
REGISTRATION PROCESS & FEE
- Teams must submit the registration form on a first-come, first-served basis. Indian teams must pay a fee of INR 3,000/-, while international teams have no registration fee.
- National rounds will be held on campus with accommodation assistance; international rounds will be online.
- After submitting the form, teams will receive a confirmation email with payment details. If not received, they must contact [email protected].
- Incomplete forms will be rejected.
- Each team must nominate one primary contact person for all communication.
- No refunds will be provided in case of withdrawal.

- 19 November 2025 – Opening of registrations and publication of the moot proposition
- 15 January 2026 – Final day to submit clarification requests
- 31 January 2026 - Last date for Registration
- 2 February 2026 – Deadline for submitting memorials in soft copy
- 7 February 2026 – Inauguration, submission of hard copies, Preliminary and Quarter-Final Rounds, Researcher’s Test, and Social Event
- 8 February 2026 – Semi-Final and Final Rounds followed by the Valedictory Ceremony
