ABOUT BSLSA
The Bihar State Legal Services Authority (BSLSA) is a statutory body established under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. Its mandate includes providing free and competent legal aid to marginalized communities, conducting Lok Adalats, and promoting legal awareness across the state.
BSLSA functions under the direct supervision of the Patna High Court and is presided over by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sudhir Singh (Acting), Chief Justice of Patna High Court, who serves as the Patron-in-Chief.
ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
BSLSA offers physical Winter and Summer Internship Programs for law students, designed to provide hands-on exposure to:
Legal aid mechanisms
NALSA Schemes
Field visits to Jail, Old Age Homes, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), etc.
The internship is highly structured, runs for 21 days, and applications must be submitted online through the official Patna High Court website.
ELIGIBILITY
Open to:
1st to 5th year students of the 5-year LL.B. program
1st to 3rd year students of the 3-year LL.B. program
