ABOUT ICFAI UNIVERSITY, HIMACHAL PRADESH

The ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh, has been established under the provision of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2011 (Act No. 43 of 2011) passed by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh on June 17, 2011. The University is sponsored by The ICFAI Society, a not-for-profit Educational Society established in 1984. The University offers Bachelor’s, Master’s & Ph.D. Programs in Management, Science & Technology, Law and Pharmaceutical Science.

ABOUT FACULTY OF LAW

Faculty of Law is a constituent of the ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh and is established with an objective of developing a new generation of legal professionals through comprehensive and contemporary body of knowledge integrating law with Management / Humanities and through rigorous education and research programs. Faculty of Law at present offers 5-year integrated BALL.B (Hons.), BBALL.B (Hons.), LL. B (3Year), Master of Laws (LL.M) (1Year) and Ph.D. in Law. Faculty of Law facilitates its students to explore their intellectual potential and encourages their professional development through a fine blend of career-oriented courses and compulsory internships.

DATE AND VENUE

1. Date and Venue of the Competition:

The First Moot Court Competition, 2025 shall be held from August 30th to 31st, 2025 at: The ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh Campus: #5, HIMUDA Education Hub, Kalu Jhanda, P.O. Mandhala, Barowala, Baddi, District Solan, Himachal Pradesh – 174103, India.

2. Team Eligibility:

All students who are duly enrolled and pursuing either a 3year LL. B program or a 5year integrated LL. B program from any Institution/University recognized by the Bar Council of India (or an equivalent competent authority) shall be eligible to participate in the Competition.

• Only one team per institution is allowed to register.
• In the event of any ambiguity regarding eligibility or registration, the decision of the Organizers shall be final and binding.

3. Team Composition Each team shall consist of:

• A maximum of three members: Two speakers and One researcher, or
• A minimum of two members: One speaker and One speaker-cum-researcher.

4. Official Language:

 The official language of the Competition, for both written and oral submissions, shall be English.

REGISTRATION

1. Registration and Payment:

• Interested teams are required to register for the competition by submitting the  duly filled Registration Form.
• No other mode of registration shall be accepted. Each team must also provide the email ID of either the respective committee or the Head/Dean of their institution in the Registration Form.
• The deadline for registration is 20th August 2025 (11:59 P.M. IST). Teams are required to pay the registration fee prior to filling the Registration Form:
• INR 4,000/ (without accommodation), or
• INR 5,000/ (with accommodation). Confirmation of registration will be sent by the Organizers after completion and verification of all registration formalities. Following confirmation, each team will be assigned a Team Code.
• At all stages of the competition, teams must be identified only by their allotted team code.
• Disclosure of the institution’s identity, by any team member, in any manner during the competition is strictly prohibited. Noncompliance with this rule shall result in penalty or disqualification, as determined by the Organizers.

2. Payment of Registration Fee:

All teams must complete payment of the registration fee via Bank Transfer on or before 20th August 2025 (11:59 P.M. IST) in order to complete the registration process. The details for the payment of Registration Fee through Bank transfer is provided below:
