Established in July 2003 by Panjab University, Chandigarh, the University Institute of Laws, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana was founded with the vision of providing quality legal education and nurturing excellence in the legal domain. UIL is committed to developing skilled advocates, professionals, and academicians by emphasizing academic rigor, practical training, and strong ethical values. Over the years, UIL has earned a distinct reputation as a Centre of Excellence in Legal Education in the Manchester of Punjab (Ludhiana), reflected through its strong academic performance and quality admissions.
