ABOUT K.R. Mangalam University
K.R. Mangalam University (KRMU), located in Gurugram, Haryana, is a multidisciplinary private university established in 2013 under the Haryana Private Universities Act and duly recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). ABOUT THE MOOT COURT COMPETITION
The School of Legal Studies, K.R. Mangalam University is organising the 1st Justice K. Subba Rao Memorial Inter-University Moot Court Competition, 2026, in tribute to Justice K. Subba Rao, former Chief Justice of India, widely respected for his unwavering commitment to constitutional values and social justice.
The competition aims to:
Enhance advocacy, research, and analytical skills among law students
Engage participants with contemporary legal issues
Foster teamwork, leadership, and strategic thinking
Provide a dynamic platform for presenting and debating diverse legal viewpoints
ELIGIBILITY
The competition is open to bona fide students pursuing:
A full-time three-year LL.B. programme, or
A full-time five-year integrated law course
from any Bar Council of India–recognized university, college, institution, or department.
TEAM COMPOSITION
Each team shall consist of three (3) members:
Two (2) Speakers
One (1) Researcher
An institution may register a maximum of two teams only.
In case more than two teams apply, only the first two registrations will be accepted.
